Heading here, please, subs

Forgot to note that I thoroughly enjoyed the Australia vs New Zealand cricket double-header the other evening. Our men's team whomped 'em, then our ladies did likewise. It's funny how much I invest in the trans-Tasman rivalry when Dad's father was born in Christchurch. Ditto my enthusiasm for NSW over Queensland in any sporting showdown, despite Dad being born in Brisbane. The reality is neither of them tried to influence who I supported...apart from when it came to horse trainers.
*Excellent* use of lore. I could have done without the preaching about HPL's (undeniable) flaws or ruminations on separating art from artist. Then again, this could be some 13-year-old's eye-opening first "Who" audio, so I guess it's fine.
While my concentration wavered in the latter stages, this full-length doco contained plenty of wonders and revelations. It made me want to live in Melbourne for a while in order to explore its past. PB, SC, MG and GH are there, so I'd actually have more mates/relos to hang out with than I do in my present city of residence!

Memory modules, Part 8
If you don't know, this all-timer allows you to fill in the monsters and treasures for each room from master lists in the back. In WD's copy, you could discern traces of where he'd erased the pencilled-in choices of his older brother (whose handed-down "D&D" materials got us started in the hobby in 1982!). W. and I would argue the merits of putting what critters/rewards where on our morning bus ride; one of countless nerdy discussions. Then he grew worryingly pale and sickly - leukaemia was mentioned, but fortunately wasn't the case - and changed to a regular high school a lot closer to his home. Where I'm happy to say he thrived.
